The Foundation selected 13 recipients and awarded them between 5 to 6 million won each for the translations, a total of 66 million won.
Awards were given to one English works "Under the Volcano" by Edith Wharton, three each in French, German and Chinese, and one each in Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Italian, Turkish and Polish. Most of these works are to be translated for the first time into Korean.
The award ceremony was held at the Daesan Foundation on December 12.

Six works were added to the "Daesan World Classics," series, including Karl Philipp Moritz's Anton Reiser.
"Daesan World Classics" is published by Moonhak-kwa-Jisung-sa as part of an on-going series based on translations that receive these grants.
