Literary Camp August 1 - 3, 2006 at Kyobo Life Iusurance Human Development Center
Publication Minumsa Publishing Co.,Ltd.
This is a scholarship program intended to contribute to the refinement of the sensitivities of young people and to their overall educational development, aiming to discover and train those with literary talent who will play a leading role in tomorrow's Korean literature. Works of poetry and fiction by students from middle and high schools across Korea are screened and those producing the finest work are invited to a writing camp attended by a number of writers. Prize-winning works are published in a widely-distributed anthology while award-winners benefit from grants supporting an ongoing association and a review designed to help them continue to develop their literary skills and keep in close touch with one another.

The evaluation of the submitted works and the organization of the camp was entrusted to a committee composed of 6 reputed writers and a total of 60 candidates selected. A literary competition was organized during the camp that was attended by the candidates and the preparation committee, and as a result 36 award winners were chosen. The award-winning works were published in a collection, Bakjui ui jungryeok geobu je 1 gang. A new year's gathering to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the association of previous award-winners was held, while the anthology was published for the 8th time.
